Founded by Gaea L. Honeycutt, our firm provides editorial, design and strategic planning services to small and large businesses across the country. Weirding Word® is a division of G.L. Honeycutt Consulting, LLC, a certified small, minority-owned business in Virginia that delivers strategic research and analysis services.
With experience in the for profit and nonprofit sectors, Weirding Word® brings a unique perspective to the creative process, drawing on strategies from diverse industries. Our consultants partner with clients to examine goals and identify resources, developing solutions that will best meet their goals. Through this tailored approach, we seek to contribute to the long-term plans and objectives of each client.

Consultants
Ms. Honeycutt has 17 years experience in production and publishing, skilled in both editorial and design services. Her experience includes working for a small publisher, managing communications for a government agency, coordinating statewide communications for a systemic change initiative, and developing branding for nonprofits and small businesses. A gifted writer, Ms. Honeycutt is an aspiring novelist and a freelance journalist and copywriter, with many of her articles listed in the Writing Portfolio.
She has made several presentations on developing value-added marketing materials, effective content and consistent branding; and has been interviewed in articles for the Washington Business Journal, Essence Magazine and The Washington Informer. She is a member of American Evaluation Association, Consulting Women, the National Coalition Black Women's Roundtable, Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, Washington Network Group, and Romance Writers of America.
Patrick Everson is a multitalented artist -- drawing, painting and sculpture, as well as graphic design. He enjoys the field of graphic design, which allows him to use his talents to communicate ideas and accomplish goals. Mr. Everson is a both a freelance designer and a museum and exhibition designer. Projects he's worked on for Weirding Word® include the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce logo and a web design for a DC government agency. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications Design from Syracuse University.
Felisha Gaskins is a gifted photographer, specializing in working with human subjects in natural light. With more than five years experience, Ms. Gaskins has worked with clients ranging from brides to technology to food products. She is the official photographer for the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce and has taken pictures for Futrend Technologies, Unicef, political campaigns and several private clients.
